Many websites have a photo gallery where visitors can go to see images.
For clients who have their web hosting through Host Papa, the Coppermine photo gallery can be easily installed. It can also be installed on most other hosts, but may be require additional setup.
What is Coppermine?
Coppermine is a FREE application to use for your online photo gallery.
Why Coppermine?
It is one of the most user friendly galleries around with lots of features like:
- Photos can be grouped into albums
- Albums can be grouped into categories and sub-categories
- Images can be seen in a slideshow
- Visitors can add comments (this feature can easily be turned off)
- Images can also be sorted by date
- There are lots of themes to choose from
Themes
There are 5 stock themes that come with the base installation: Curve, Eyeball, Hardwired, Rainy Day, and Water drop.
We have downloaded three additional themes that can be installed for you in just a few minutes: Mac OS X, Color Style, and Dark Velvet.
