Of course you might want to add some visual appeal to the pages on your site with images, photos, or background images.

Where do the images come from?

You provide all images that will be used on your site. For each image, please be certain that you are the owner of the image or that you have permission to use the image on your site.

Image Preparation

Most digital cameras take good pictures, but the image color can usually be improved. All images that you supply for use on your site will be automatically color adjusted (unless requested otherwise).

Those same digital cameras take pictures that are usually far too large to place on a web page. Images will be cropped as needed and optimized for display on web pages. Many web developers do not do this, and it often causes pages to load very slowly.

For example, just a 5 megapixel camera typically takes an image that is 2560 x 1920 pixels (physical size), and when set to the highest quality is around 1.5Mb (file size). The physical size is larger than most computer screens and should be reduced to what is needed to fit where it will be placed on the web page. Not to mention your visitor's browser will have to download the large file size to display the image, and that will take much longer than needed.

Background Images

Background images and textures are another way you can add visual appeal to your site's pages. Just about anything on the page can have a background image... the whole page, a column, a link button, even a single paragraph. We can work with any image you supply to apply it as a background.

You have probably seen a lot of websites that use textured or patterned backgrounds. Many of these come from online galleries, but only some of those are free to use on your site and lots of them are of low quality.
